Azah was born in Bamenda to Tangyie Elias Nsoh Tabah and Mangyie Helen Ngum nee Ndingwan. She spent her formative years in Yaounde. First at the bilingual primary school and subsequently at Lycee Bilingue D’Application.

Upon completion of the “A” levels at CPC Bali, Azah moved to the United States. She currently lives in beautiful Minnesota with her family. Azah is a fellow with the Institute for Molecular Virology, studying the evolution of retroviruses.
